FIRST OF ALL, I owe the perfectness of my baby shower to my amazing best friend, sister, Mother-in-law, and mom. They did a stunning job putting this all together and letting me JUST show up on the big day. So, all the KUDOS goes to them. SO LIKE GUYS, If you need a party planner... :)
We decided to host our baby shower at our home instead of a venue. Was this a good idea when I was 34 weeks pregnant to have 60 people in my home, or am I clinically insane? I really don't know. What I do know is that I slept for a good 14 hours straight, my ankles disappeared into the puffiness of my legs and my toes were completely unnoticeable the next day. But, I also could not have imagined a more flawless experience. It was everything we could've prayed for, PLUS MORE.
It's been a while since I've posted some updates so I wanted to let y'all know what's been going on in our life. We have about 5 weeks to go (please pray for sooner), nursery is just about complete (pictures to come), mommy is nesting (BIG TIME), and mommy and daddy are enjoying these last few weeks as just us. Yes, we are having a girl, no, we have not decided on a name (I promise we aren't just hiding it!). We are going to wait to see her tiny face before choosing. I'm counting on the prayer that we'll know the name right away when we see her. Although I'm uncomfortable, feel like I need a hip replacement, and gained about 40 (41 to be exact) pounds, I'VE NEVER FELT SO GOOD. As excited as we are to meet our little rainbow nugget, we know these are the last weeks of just US - and we are trying to take advantage of this special time together.
I'll keep this post short and let the pictures do the talking. Here's some snaps of our celebration, showering our little girl. It was magical.
Next post very soon!
